  * Knows that protective curtains around laser must be drawn shut when operating the laser

  * Power switch for High Voltage panel
  * Plug for 3 phase power extension cord
  * X and Y controls
  * Z/Focus manual adjustment wheel
  * Indicator lights (Blue for water chiller, Green for laser)

===== Identify & mitigate common hazards =====

  * Hot flying debris - use appropriate tools, workholding, and clear work area
  * Fire - spray bottle to knock sparks and embers
  * Toxic Fumes - avoid prohibited materials
  * Smoke - exhaust blower on and engaged
